Mirriam Liashenko the president of the Political Committee of VALMUN 2024. She was born in Ukraine but has lived most of her life in Valencia, Spain. She is a junior student and attending her eighth year in the American School of Valencia. Mirriam started participating in MUN conferences in 8th grade for her college resume and shortly after fell in love with them. Attending a total of 8 MUN conferences, including VALMUN, MADMUN, BCNMUN and THIMUN has proved to be essential in her life. Mirriam has learned many skills such as: research skills, public speaking and debating skills, it helped her be aware of her surroundings, and better understand the current political and economic state of the world. MUN conferences have given Mirriam her most treasured memories and allowed her to meet many great friends. Mirriam is honored to be part of the Valmun 2024 conference and hopes for all delegates to make the most out of this experience and have an incredible time. She looks forward to fun and productive debates in the political committee.
Chloe Corresa is the president of the Human Rights Committee. Chloe is a 16 year old born and raised in a Chinese/Spanish family in Valencia, Spain. She has attended multiple online and in-person MUN conferences in Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, and The Hague, accumulating a total of 10 experiences. Model UN has helped Chloe become more globally conscious and develop crucial skills such as leadership. She looks forward to seeing how delegates discuss the topics at hand and hopes for a productive debate.
Maria Navarro Garcia is a chair of the Human Rights committee. She was born in Valencia, and has lived all her life there. She is currently in 10th grade, and has been in the American School of Valencia since Pre-K 1. Maria joined MUN in 7th grade because she wanted to improve her skills in public speaking and also because she loved discussing worldwide issues. After attending 5 national MUN conferences, she is able to say that she has developed confidence, leadership and most of all communication skills. Model United Nations has given Maria a great opportunity to be able to publicly speak without fear and made her debating skills much more improved. Ever since her first conference as a delegate Maria has always been interested in pursuing the position of chair as it shows another perspective of the debate and it is a whole new experience.
