ECOSOC

Noa Sánchez is the president of the ECOSOC committee. She is currently a junior at the American School of Valencia. Although she has lived in Valencia her whole life, she comes from a Venezuelan family. She has participated in a total of 9 conferences since 6th grade. Throughout the years since her journey in MUN began, she has stood in admin’s, delegate’s and chair’s shoes, and knows how nerve wracking MUN conferences may be. Regardless, she is more than willing to help her committee thrive through fun experiences and fruitful debates in the ECOSOC committee. 

Brooklyn Carnes is one of the chairs for ECOSOC this year. She was born and raised in Southern California before moving to Valencia right before high school. She's currently in 11th grade, with this experience being her first time chairing. She has participated in two conferences before, as well as one admin experience. She’s enjoyed all of her MUN experiences and regrets not participating more when she could.

Through MUN, Brooklyn has gained more confidence, skill, and knowledge related to public speaking, debate, and current world events. For her, it’s a great reminder of all the things she can accomplish when she puts her mind to it. Moving forward, she hopes to gain more experience in leadership positions at ASV, both in and out of MUN, and to apply the skills she has learned to her life after school. Brooklyn can’t wait to meet her committee this year and hopes that the conference will inspire her as much as the ones she participated in in the past.

Jorge Martorell is a chair from ecosoc. Currently he is a sophomore in ASV.  He was born in Valencia and has lived in Valencia his whole life. He started MUN experiences in 7th grade, in total he did 5 MUN experiences, 3 VALMUN and 2 MADMUN. His only role in valmun has been delegate, from 5 different countries and in VALMUN 2024 it will be his first experience being a chair.  Through MUN Jorge has increased some skills like talking in public. MUN has been the key for Jorge’s fear of talking in public and he really appreciates it. Jorge is looking forward to being a chair and he is really looking forward  to experiencing this new chance they gave him.
