SECURITY COUNCIL TEAM

Kaltra Doda

President

Kaltra Doda is the President chair of Security Council, she is currently a junior at the American School of Valencia. She was raised in New York. She started participating in MUN because her parents have worked for the UN for a while and wanted to experience it for herself. She has participated in MADMUN (Both as a delegate and a chair), THIMUN, BCNMUN, and VALMUN. Her very first experience with MUN was difficult for her, she was new and had a controversial country, however, this experience taught her how to work under pressure, to become a quick thinker, to always be confident when speaking, how to be outgoing, and how to evaluate her peers. Kaltra believes that by being given the role of President chair, she can provide delegates with the same experience she first had. She wishes for the best and utmost successful debate for all delegates for VALMUN 2024!

Ailén Carrasco

Chair

Ailén Carrasco is one of the chairs at Security Council. She was born in Valencia and has stayed there throughout her life. She is currently a sophomore at the American School of Valencia and has been an active member of the school’s MUN since seventh grade. Ailén has 4 MUN experiences including VALMUN and MADMUN and has the privilege to have her first chairing experience this year. Model United Nations has meant a lot to her ever since her first MUN experience and she believes that MUN is crucial to develop life long skills such as public speaking, debating, and that it broadens views about worldwide issues. She is honored to be part of the VALMUN 2024 conference and looks forward to a fun and productive debate.

Andrés González

Chair

Andrés González is a chair in the Security Council. He was born in Venezuela, lived in Peru for 7 years from ages 7 to 14, and has lived in Valencia since 2022. He is currently a 9th grader, attending his second year at the American School of Valencia. Andrés joined MUN in 8th grade because of his interest in debating and solving worldwide issues, his passion for geopolitics and his desire to wear a suit. He has attended 4 national and international MUN conferences, including VALMUN, MADMUN and MMUN in New York. Following these experiences, he can say that MUN has helped him develop and improve his debate, leadership and communication skills, as well as his confidence and courage. MUN conferences have given Andrés numerous treasured memories and allowed him to meet people who would later become good friends. As a Chair, he hopes he can help new delegates to acquire and master the skills that MUN has gifted him. He wants most importantly, new MUNers to have an overall better experience than he’s had.
